Pittsburgh Engagement Photos | Love Storytelling with Mehrgol & Jasper

Mehrgol and Jasper’s Pittsburgh engagement photos tell the tale of how their love story began. They both attended Pitt and would often study together at Dobra Tea, making those two places the perfect locations for their engagement session!

The tea shop is truly like stepping into another world. It's romantic and ethereal with Persian-inspired decor. This felt especially fitting as their wedding was going to be Persian-inspired as well because Mehrgol's family is Iranian. We started here in the morning and captured some truly loving and cozy photos of the most beautiful couple! After we finished this session in the tea shop, we sat and had tea together with the four of us. It was so awesome to just hang out with them and get to know them better. We truly felt like we were old friends and we had always known them. 

These Pittsburgh engagement photos came together pretty quickly since Mehrgol and Jasper live in DC and only had so much time in town with us, but everything ended up perfectly! The day of the session happened to land on Pitt’s move-in week, but that didn’t matter. The photos on campus feel like just the two of them in a magical world of their own. That is exactly what we wanted for them!! 

One couple photo pose prompt we love to give is "give each other a stern look." This almost always results in the most genuine laughter when couples look at each other this way. We super love giving gentle prompts and guidance to draw out those genuine reactions. This prompt resulted in not only a Vogue style serious looking photo, but also a glorious true laughter photo right after!

Mehrgol and Jasper said they wanted the tea shop to feel dreamy and the part on campus to feel more chic, classic and academic. They have incredible style, so for both parts of our session they did an incredible job of coordinating outfits that not only looked great, but also fit the feel of that session perfectly!

We love their love, their joy, and their playfulness and willingness to go for it in this session! We had an incredibly fun time together during our two part Pittsburgh engagement photos!
