Beautiful Outdoor Wedding in Pittsburgh | Gina & Jeff
Gina & Jeff’s love story led them to their beautiful outdoor wedding in Pittsburgh. We have been lucky enough to be a part of their story since the proposal, and are so grateful to be invited into their lives even after the wedding!
Jeff was planning his surprise proposal to Gina and included their wedding planner Meg, of Yinz Getting Married. Meg recommended us to photograph the proposal, and so began our journey with this amazing couple! We met for coffee with Jeff to discuss the proposal and really hit it off. Star Wars and our love of nature were definitely two things we bonded over! We took a hike with him to scope out the proposal spot and plan everything. We were so glad that after the proposal Gina and Jeff wanted to keep working with us!
Willowbrook seemed like the perfect outdoor wedding venue for this nature loving couple.
As photographers, we loved it, too! Every single corner of Willowbrook is so perfect for photos and has been so thoughtfully laid out. The patio, the cottage, the grounds, all the greenery, the willow tree, the pond, the flower field for sunset photos, the reception space with beautiful white walls and wooden beams with a rustic chandelier - the list could go on and on! It’s all a blank slate for your vision and truly a photographer’s dream! Also, everything is close together and easily accessible. Having the ceremony and reception in one place allows you more time to settle into the day. Not spending time traveling also means more time to party and more time for photos!
We have to mention that the staff at this venue was truly above and beyond. Every single person was a pleasure to work with and they truly did everything above and beyond to make the day perfect and amazing for our couple. It was so great to work in both the beauty of that venue and with such a smoothly operating team.
Gina & Jeff wanted a first touch before the ceremony and we super loved this moment for them. They didn’t want to actually see each other for a first look, so Jeff was blindfolded. It was an incredibly moving and amazing moment to get to photograph. You could feel the excitement and anticipation they were both feeling! Getting to witness that quiet moment they shared was one of the most memorable no-look first looks we’ve photographed.
From the chill atmosphere for the bride and bridesmaids getting ready to Gina doing all of the florals herself, their whole wedding felt so THEM. They had such great vows during the ceremony that were so playful and funny. We love those images from that part of the ceremony because you can really see their personalities. We just LOVE the way they look at each other!
Overall, this outdoor wedding in Pittsburgh went amazingly well!
